Manually Defining "Virtual Senders/Receivers"

Hi there,

Thanks for this tool - it's really ace!

I'm in a scenario where I need to manually define some stream information - i.e. a virtual sender/receiver. I appreciate this is on the roadmap, but is there a way I could manually define device in the interim? (i.e. in code, not via the GUI). If so, could you point me to the best place to add this into the code.

Hi, I do not see a very simple method for doing this so it is usable in the UI.
I think there will be needed changes over a lot of places in the code.

My plans are adding manual source of flows in crosspoint abstraction.

• New config data for this is needed
• process of adding crosspoint abstraction
• generating SDP files

In a quick and dirty implementation you could just use the device abstractions to modify SDP files. But this requires to use dummy NMOS devices or unused NMOS devices.

For SDP file generation there should be live information about the ptp master.
Faking this information may lead to problmes.

Can specify a little more what information you will have for config. Maybe a first beta is easy and fast for me.
