is it possible to have an RSS or JSON events feed that shows, say, the next 10 (published) events?
maybe in the calendars tab?
i can maybe work on this myself if someone can point me in the right direction...

oh, notably, this would be for a Tracker Alexa app

My gut reaction is that JSON is trivial, and RSS slightly more annoying.

They're both really easy with Rails and I can do it when I have time

JSON is apparently the preferred format, according to the website
