Enchanted Books

Hello, I have an issue where when I enchant an enchanted book with an es enchant, it doesn't let players use them in anvils. Is there something I can do to fix this?

do these players happen to be on bedrock edition? there's a limitation on bedrock edition where you can't directly apply custom enchants to items. ES enchants are not technically seen as enchantments, so you have to trick the game into thinking you can combine your items as if the custom enchants weren't there. you can do this by applying a vanilla enchantment to the custom enchanted book and then combining it with your item. its important that this vanilla enchantment can still be applied on the item. like if your item doesnt have unbreaking yet, you can add unbreaking to the custom enchanted book and then it will work

What I mean is like, since we put the es enchant directly on the 'enchanted book' item, it doesn't work in anvils.

I basically DIY'd the books, and it shows the components have differing amounts.

what are you talking about DIYing the books? what are the component differences? theres no functional difference between books enchanted with /es enchant and regular enchanting
