svg files break without ms edge, workaround?

can't open with/set file associations, and UserChoise flag for .svg files in registry is forced to MSEdgeHTM after every reboot
Open as... popup only has Just once.

This probably will not work in his case. I have had the exact same issue when i removed Edge before changing file association for those files. Windows just locks anyone from changing it. Searching .svg on settings does not show any result. and if i try to open it with another program, it shows only the option to open once.

I had to use this program to set association, I set it to 'ChromeHTML', and after that, i could set it to anything from the settings app.

Use this command ->

SetUserFTA.exe .svg ChromeHTML

(assuming chrome is installed, you could use FirefoxHTML iirc for firefox)
