Running function delta:api/launch_looking by a command block or datapack throws me south

For some reason unless a player runs it it wont work correctly even with "execute as @s" it does not work and yeah i get lunched south instead of where I'm looking any idea why this is happening and how i could fix it?

Pretty sure you need to run execute as <player> at @s.., if you just use execute as, it'll execute the command at world spawn or the command block.
