the max height seems fine in bpd.css but the max width set in #543 is causing a serious issue.

because of the issue we reverted #543 with #562 and hopefully we can push this change quickly.

I don't know if this is actually necessary as the issue it was trying to fix was resolved with images having a max-width... I'm going to close this for now and we can bring it back with more testing.
