Adopt a Diversity Statement

Although the backlash was mostly from an audience that was not intended to join the community, there are questions around our wording and our focus around diversity.

The reality is that even in a racially-diverse community, there are concerns and feelings around diversity in areas of geography, language, gender-identity, and sexual-orientation.

There is also the situation where some grants require to have a diversity statement.

This to say, it may be important to draft a diversity statement.
