Description
Circuits in GT6 are one of my least favourite thing generaly terrible process and not rewarding at all, the least interesting part of gregtech so far.
The main issues i have with them:
1.Rather Bazzar way to get them
2.kinda gated far late in the game with a lot of grind behind it
3.The Simplest Circuit in essense costs the same as the latest tier circuit making the circuit line a very wierd line to look at, it make late game implemntation a very difficault task to do as different tiers of circuits are essensially in the same difficaulty.
consiedering circuits basically gate the electric age, it really makes gameplay not enjoyable in some part.
There might a few solutions for this, easier citcuits for tier 1, or a lower tier one (like ULV tier in gt5), not gating circuits behind plastic and huge grind of stainless steel.
I also refer to the gt6x documentation as a few points there especially the components can make the circuit production much more interesting including the semi inductor industry.
Semiconductor industry
Add more realistic steps for higher tier circuits
Epoxy for high-tier PCBs instead of plastic (see GT6U)
Doping using GaP, GaAs, InGaN
Ways to extract additional Ga from Bauxite
Use of Ru for electroplating high tier circuit plates
Photolithography to produce ICs or Photovoltaic Cells from silicon wafers
add silicon dioxide,
apply photoresist to make raw wafer
put in laser engraver with photomask
Etch using small amounts of hydrofluoric acid, produces hexafluorosilicic acid to recycle back into Si/F/H2O
Use ICs to craft high tier circuit parts
Solder circuit boards into circuits using soldering iron, manually or using autocrafting table (special tool + robot tool head which needs to be refilled using soldering alloy). Don’t use bath.
Solar panels crafting using Ph.V cells
Copper indium gallium selenide wafers for advanced solar panels
I also want to add my own suggestion for making a new lower tier circuits and making first tier circuit more available early on.
my point is generaly a different route for lower tier circuits and for higher tier circuits a more difficault route to bring some balance. in addition i would also suggest more tiers beyond tier 6 circuits in the future.
