wslview is used by this library to open files in WSL linux environments. As that tool is no longer maintained or even available on some package managers, an alternative should be implemented.

open is built around using commands, so there probably isn't much it can do except for using a different command.

Ive been using https://github.com/4U6U57/wsl-open, but I dont have a comprehensive list of where its packaged. I know its not in the main arch repo, only the AUR, but that also applies to wslview.

Just wanted to add that wsl-open is a fairly minimal wrapper around powershell.exe start <whatever>, with some niceties related to path conversions and stuff, which can be taken from crates like cross_path or wslpath2. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to just use powershell here.
