Ok, status images from CI services fed by the code repository are more useful to judge the master branch which likely reflects a developer release. I filed requests for CPANTS and for CPANT. How about a button image with number of likes at metacpan or a static metacpan logo icon to link from the project page of a module to its page at metacpan?

This is only useful if authors reference the actual release and not just the master branch which is in flux and doesn't reflect the released version.
