Description
When opening the Server settings in ChatSecure, I see a red ❌ next to Push Registration, with the following error:
“ Push Registration
Not Registered
push.chatsecure.org/api/v1
Error
0 used, 0 unused tokens”
As a result, push notifications do not work when the app is in the background or closed.
Additional Info:
• Under the Server Features section:
• XEP-0357 (Push) is listed with a
• Other features such as Stream Management, Message Archive Management, and Client State Indication are supported (✅).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open ChatSecure.
2. Go to Account → Server.
3. Observe the Push Registration error.
Expected Behavior:
Push registration should complete successfully, allowing notifications to be received when the app is inactive.
Actual Behavior:
Push registration fails, and notifications are not received unless the app is open.

• Reset push token.
• Deactivated and reconnected account.
• Verified internet connection.
• Server appears to support most XEPs except full push registration.
