So this seems to be more of a compatability issue more than anything, really easy fix.
The code you show isnt the problem part, thats more to determine if the pill should be consumed.
The problem is just below it; that being:

entityLiving.curePotionEffects(stack);

This only cures effects that have been 'registerd' to be curable by 500. To make this compatable with other mods, all i have to do is modify the section above that to remove all bad effects.
