I've been playing around with this MCP in VSCode with Copilot (Claude Sonnet 4) for the last few days, trying to build a simple card game from scratch using a Design Doc I provided. I was quite frustrated with the Model continually breaking compilation or spinning on the same issues then declaring everything working until I added 2 rules to my copilot rules file:
Always check the console for any compiler errors and fix them before completing the request
Ensure the unity editor is not in play mode when editing objects
After C# script changes, ensure the code has finished recompiling before further work within the Unity Editor
Adding these rules has made the agentic process more fruitful.
Are there any rules you've adopted to improve Model performance?
