When using DTS from USB, we can let users use some old version of DTS to perform the update. It may result in proceeding with the update on older DTS, possibly with some less safety checks and other bugs.

We check the newest release on startup. We inform the newer version should be used.
Where is the value to a user, and who might that user be?

Someone just tried updating a device with DTS relase from 2 years ago.
