Oracle Commercial & Licensing Information

Dual Licensing Model

Oracle uses a dual licensing model to support both open-source community development and commercial sustainability.

Open Source License: AGPL-3.0

The core Oracle platform is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

What this means:

  • Free to use, modify, and distribute
  • Source code must remain open source
  • Network use (SaaS) requires source disclosure
  • Modifications must be shared under AGPL-3.0
  • No warranty provided
