[UPCOMING] Major Changes to Donald Louch Website

I will be doing a complete overhaul of my code base for my Donald Louch Website.

Some of the major changes coming in this upgrade is:

• Changing the architecture from using the Next.js Pages Router to the the new Next.js App Router

• Changing the database provider from Prisma and PlanetScale, to just using Supabase. I will further, be changing the auth provider from NextAuth to Supabase Clerk

• Overhauling some design elements:

  • Transitioning from a light and dark mode to a consented hybrid light and dark mode
  • Enlarging some of the text areas
  • Redesign the form elements
  • Cleaning up some of the edges of the borders on elements

The general roadmap that I am hoping for is (all a rough timeline):

• Alpha Version: RELEASED ON: June 23rd, 2023
• Beta Version: RELEASED ON: July 1st, 2023
• Public Version: RELEASED ON: July 8th, 2023

Alpha Version Progress:

Released On June 23rd, 2023:

• Add new env variables to Vercel
• Update the Maintenance Mode
• Commit the new updated version to GitHub
• Deploy the code to Vercel (AUTOMATIC)
• Share the new Alpha Link

URGENT BYG FIXES:

• Fix: Portal Router Not Routing To Home When Logged Out (Fixed Commit #04feaaa)
• Fix: Auth Login: CHANGED AUTH TO Clerk (Fixed Commit #9c18538)

• Complete: Portal pages

Launch:

• Update the Maintenance Mode
• Commit the new updated version to GitHub
• Deploy the code to Vercel (AUTOMATIC)
• Share the new Beta Link
