User submission failed sumstat validation GCP001073 (671648c7e6802e0001ad71bc) during metadata template upload

I uploaded a metadata template for the user submission as part of the normal curation process in the depo-curation app. It showed the Sumstats Status as VALIDATING for a whole day, then changed to the SumStats valid: Failed.

This also resulted in a mail being sent to the user about the failed submission.

This kind of issue has happened before when, while uploading the template through the depo-curation app, the sumstat validation process was triggered again, which is not expected at this uploading stage.

I am not sure if we manually push the submission through validation again and fail, as the sumstats are no longer available in the globus.
