Consider if there is a way to improve usability by changing the default outline view. Currently, the default uses the QualifiedNameProvider to generate the name segments used in the outline. There may be cases where that can be improved. For example, Entity CompositionElements could include type and cardinality info. Or, outline elements could be color coded by Conceptual/Logical/Platform level. Or things with errors can be marked.
Note also that expand/ collapse state of an outline node can affect this. E.g., if a collapsed node contains another node that has an error, the node that is exposed should be marked with an error while collapsed, so users could continue to expand the outline looking for the error.
Before working on this, present a plan in the discussion of this feature.
