Question: Support for Multiple Embedded Subtitle Tracks in MKV Files

First of all, thank you for your amazing work on this project! It looks like the most actively maintained and powerful TG-FileStream bot available, and I'm very interested in using it.

I have a specific question regarding subtitle handling that I couldn't find in the documentation.

My Question is: Does the bot support streaming MKV files that have multiple embedded subtitle tracks (e.g., English, Sinhala, Tamil all in one file)?

Specifically, I am looking for the ability for a user to choose which subtitle track they want to watch from a list inside the web player.

I have tried several older, Python-based FileStream bots, but they all struggle with this specific feature. Before I deploy your bot, I wanted to ask if this functionality is already included or if it's something that might be possible to implement in the future.

Hey @dilusha034, Thank you for your kind words.

Currently, the bot doesn’t offer a web video player, so streaming .mkv files depends entirely on your browser’s built-in player. As for selecting embedded subtitle tracks, that’s out of the question since there’s no integrated player.

However, you can open the generated link in a proper media player like VLC or MPC-HC and it should display all available audio and subtitle tracks.
That said, I’ve been looking into ways to make this possible by extracting or remuxing subtitle tracks on the fly but it’s not implemented yet since it adds quite a bit of overhead.

Also, please don’t keep closing and reopening the same issue. It spams my inbox and clutters the issue history. Just leave it open if you’re waiting for a response or clarification.

Thank you once again for taking the time to reply to all three of my issues (#184, #185, #186). I'm consolidating my response here to keep things tidy as you requested.

First, regarding issue #186 and the broken pipe errors: My apologies, but I'm unable to provide the full logs you requested. After realizing the base project had some limitations for my specific needs, I deleted that deployment to start fresh on building a custom solution.

However, the good news is that this journey led me to create a comprehensive client-side solution that resolves all three issues.

Over the past three months, with the help of Google's Gemini AI, I developed a custom play.html page that acts as a powerful, feature-rich video player. It completely transforms the user experience, especially for MKV files, with zero extra server-side overhead for streaming.

Here's how it solves the problems:

1. MKV Streaming & Subtitle Selection (Question: Support for Multiple Embedded Subtitle Tracks in MKV Files #184, Question: Video streaming results in direct download instead of playing in browser #185): It uses Plyr.js to stream MKV files directly in the browser. It also uses a one-time ffprobe call on the server to fetch all embedded subtitle tracks and presents them in a selection menu within the player.
2. Stable Downloads ([SERVER]: write: broken pipe errors error #186): This new streaming implementation appears to have completely eliminated the broken pipe and connection reset by peer errors when downloading with managers like IDM.
