Problem

OldDot shows the date each month when an Expensify Card monthly settlement will occur, along with a link explaining how to change it. NewDot has no feature parity for this — the current settlement date is not surfaced anywhere in the Expensify Card settings.

Proposed solution

Surface the current monthly settlement date as supporting text under the "Monthly" option in the settlement frequency settings for Expensify Cards.

Note: this issue is scoped to displaying the current settlement date only. Allowing customers to choose/change their own monthly settlement date is intentionally out of scope — there are cash-flow/settlement-spreading considerations that would need finance to be looped in before pursuing that.

Proposal

What is the root cause of that problem?

This is a new feature, so there's no bug — just a gap. The settlement frequency screen already loads the card's monthlySettlementDate from Onyx, but it uses that value only to decide which radio option is pre-selected. It never renders the date itself, so there's no parity with OldDot, which shows customers when their monthly settlement occurs.

The value we need is already on the client — ExpensifyCardSettings.monthlySettlementDate — and is read on the page today at WorkspaceSettlementFrequencyPage.tsx:44. Nothing surfaces it.

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

Add supporting text to the Monthly row on the settlement frequency screen, derived from monthlySettlementDate.

1. In WorkspaceSettlementFrequencyPage.tsx, when the Monthly option is pushed into data, set its alternateText to a formatted string built from settings.monthlySettlementDate (only when the date exists). SingleSelectListItem renders item.alternateText as a subtitle under the row, so no new component is needed.
2. Format the value to the recurring day of the month (e.g. format(new Date(monthlySettlementDate), 'do') via date-fns, which is already used on the neighboring WorkspaceCardsListLabel.tsx).
3. Add one new translation key under workspace.expensifyCard in en.ts (and every other locale file), e.g. a function like monthlySettlementDate: (date: string) => \Settles on the ${date} of each month`` — final copy TBD by the team.

One thing to confirm before building: the field is documented as "the date of the last settlement" and the app writes new Date() optimistically when a user switches to Monthly (Card.ts:660-701). Since settlement recurs on the same day each month, the day-of-month from this value should be the right thing to display, but we should verify the stored value's day matches the actual recurring settlement day (the backend that computes it lives outside this repo).

What alternative solutions did you explore? (Optional)

• Put the text under the "Settlement frequency" row on the card settings page (WorkspaceCardSettingsPage.tsx:87-107) instead of / in addition to the frequency screen — this matches "underneath the Settlement frequency row when monthly is selected." Either location is small; the Monthly-option approach keeps the date next to the choice it describes, which reads most clearly.
• A standalone Text block below the SelectionList — simpler, but less contextual than attaching the text to the Monthly row.
