Suggest trying to use SI units whenever possible. Metadata example shows
"unit_of_measure": "strain-rate"
but that is not a unit, ie what is the time unit?
FDSN sourceid spec, for example, has m/m as the unit of linear strain. Perhaps something like m/m/s or even just 1/s is better unit than "strain-rate".
