Propose unified (or at least validated) software as goal for next cycle (IUGG 2027)?

The software document has a decent list of softwares available and I think it should be made publically available right away, but real efficiency requires tested and validated software, unified in one consistent package if possible. Should I propose this as an action item for the next cycle?

Hi Wayne, Yes, I think that’s wise — though I also know how hard it is to wrangle people into getting action items done. A formal proposal makes sense, but in the meantime, it might help to ask current users to start logging bugs, quirks, or expert know-how in a less formal way. That way, even if a proper group can’t be pulled together right away, we’re not starting from scratch when it does happen. I suspect there’s a lot of valuable knowledge out there that people would be happy to contribute to a shared wiki — just maybe less willing to lead an action item. Curious what others think.
