localhost chrome: map works place picker does not

macOS: neither work

Let’s start by debugging the PlacePicker and then focus on the map next. When testing the PlacePicker on your localhost and searching for “Toronto,” it seems like it's not working as expected. Could you please open the browser’s Inspector, check the Console, and see if there are any CORS issues when using the PlacePicker?
