EE PARITY, ISSUES WITH NEW BASE, DAY-ONE REBASE REQUIREMENTS #2

Description

With rebase on the horizon, we have a LOT of work to do if we want to get it to a playable state. That means porting code, reworking things to fit the new codebase, trimming leaves to fit the Garden Vision, and locking in to make sure we have the level of parity needed to not have a disaster event on day-one.

Current issues with rebase

  • lack of crucial features and systems that made EE feel immersive and less "gamey" compared to the goob codebase
  • many missing feature make the game feel uncondusive to rp
    • no character descriptions
    • complete lack of RP do-over interaction: pet, slap, knock, hug, pinch, etc are all removed. the systems that enable them are not implemented
    • lack of marking parity and variety
    • lack of character records and customizable items
    • lack of extended uniform and item loadouts
    • overall less traits and more restrictive trait point system
  • contractors are gone, backgrounds are missing
    • DAY ONE REBASE MUST HAVE THIS!!!
    • lack of backgrounds and nationalities create a complete removal of any character connectivity, no cohesive world to interact with
  • lack of employers removes company interaction RP and breaks immersion with the larger setting
  • removal of key factions in garden storylines completely kills any story lines in the making
  • lack of backgrounds remove options for special loadout items
    • lack of backgrounds prevents accessibility to special background specific loadouts (war vet gear, aristocrat gear, etc)
  • lack of certain player-fav species : Thaven, xelthia, ovinia (currently wip port on garden, may as well put on hold and finish for rebase)
  • theres still a fart button
  • MANY items are still tuned for LRP play due to goob influence.
    • MANY LRP items exist accessibly in the game due to goob upstream
  • complete lack of epistemics and by assosiation psionics as a whole
    • we will likely need to rebuild the oracle from the ground up to fit our vision
    • the psionic sytem will need to be ported and tweaked to fit the psi-enforcer rollout plan
    • psionic traits will have to be reimplemented fully
    • psionic damage type will need to be reimplemented and tweaked to fit woundmed

THINGS WE NEED TO GET ON ASAP

  • thaven port - full species port and ALL garden specific changes and additions, eckeyiish, kelppods, backgrounds, etc.
  • character descriptions
  • contractor and backgrounds system, porting and expanding passports
  • RP INTERACTIONS MUST BE IMPLEMENTED IN FULL PARITY
  • marking parity
  • physical trait parity
  • detuning certain items from LRP standards
  • reimplementing psionics
  • fully porting all consulate and faction related gear from EE/gardencode
  • REMOVE THE FART BUTTON
  • psionic traits, misc small roundstart psionics - rebase should feel special once its completed
  • tweak heretic to not be horrible
  • removing LRP items from random spawn pools. no yakub and blue gentlemen posters in the government diplomats office please.
