“OME-Zarr 1.0 will be extensible”. That’s what we all agreed on during the Heidelberg hackathon.
Now we “just” have to make it happen. We need to properly define what we expect from an extension system in OME-Zarr (started during the aforementioned hackathon), and then design such a system (and/or build upon the system proposed in RFC-8).
