The new Translations feature is super interesting!

Here are a few things that I feel could improve it:

• Make the Glossary easier to discover -- right now it seems I can only open it through the "Create Translation" modal.
• In terms of pricing:
  • The "Create Translation" modal says "For XXX pages and content edited daily (XX change requests merged per month), we estimate a total of $3.45 additional cost per month for your content."
  • But the Pricing section says "Each month includes 50,000 words of translation for $25. After that, every additional 1,000 words costs $0.20. Your 50,000-word allowance resets at the start of each month."
  • So I'm not sure if using the feature will add $25 to the current monthly bill, $25+$3.45 per variant, or just $3.45 per variant overall. Could this be made clearer? The monthly allowance is in translated words per month, while the cost estimate references merged changes per month.
  • Update: The "Enable translation add-on" gives a copy that I feel is clearer: "$25 / month - 50,000 translated words per month + $0.20 per extra 1,000 translated words". I think this should be used earlier in the process, to prevent uncertainty.
  • In general, I feel the process is not clear enough, slightly inconsistent, and each clicks brings uncertainty as to what the result will be. I found myself with two English->Turkish variants, each having started their AI translation process (I quickly deleted one, was that enough?), just because it wasn't clear that the last modal was the last. I understand it's still in Beta, of course :)
  • As an aside: Where can we see how many pages/words are present in each site? Currently we can estimate number of pages in a site using the "Insights > Pages & feedback" page, but it's not ideal (and the number of pages/items includes "Page not found" items).
• From the FAQ: "Changing the glossary triggers a full re-translation of all pages, which can increase processing time and cost. There is no partial re-translation based on glossary usage at this time." While it makes sense, would it be possible to...:
  • ... have a "Trigger full-site translation update" button rather than have it all be retranslated as soon as the Glossary is changed and saved?
  • ... choose which variant should be retranslated, instead of "all of them" by default?
  • ... ideally, have the system check how many pages per variant contain the glossary items that have been changed, and only retranslate those pages? 😇
