I had this old idea of "typing" in a canvas, so I created an eventtap and I'm capturing all keypresses and printing them to my canvas, this worked great.
But I underestimated how much I copy and paste, literally seconds after I got typing working I realized I can't paste... I can capture CMD+V and "pretend" to paste, but it doesn't work if I paste from Alfred's clipboard history for example.
I think what would work best is some kind of hidden text field and that will "feed" my canvas text element, so typing, pasting and cursor position and everything else becomes really easy. Is there a hack to get something like this working?
Any other ideas to achieve this? I know there's a clipboard history spoon, but I prefer the one in Alfred.
