Dev! One thing that could really help the project is enabling GitHub Discussions, especially for things like planned features, design ideas, and feedback on bigger updates. It would make it easier for people to follow where the project is going and contribute ideas. A couple of small technical suggestions as well: adding some tests (even basic ones) and a pyproject.toml for packaging/dependencies would make the project easier to work with for other developers. Overall though, it’s a solid project and it’s great to see it being actively developed. |

What Should Land in PC_Workman Before v2.0.0?
Feature Showdown vs. the Big Three:
MSI Afterburner, NVIDIA App, and ASUS GPU Tweak III
Hey everyone!!
PC_Workman is an open-source, lightweight realtime system monitor with built-in AI diagnostics and gaming analytics — modular by design, fully local (zero cloud), and part of the educational HCK_Labs ecosystem.
As we head toward v2.0.0 (targeting Q2/Q3 2026), let’s decide together which features will make it a true open-source alternative to the closed-source giants.
I checked the latest 2025/2026 releases (MSI Afterburner 4.6.6 stable, NVIDIA App full release, ASUS GPU Tweak III v2.0.7+) and put together a straight-to-the-point comparison of the most requested capabilities.
