You can easily add this app to Obtainium by just inputting the GitHub link - no extra configuration required. In my opinion, it is not worth filling this repo up with such apps because they can be added so simply with 2 clicks. (It probably takes more time to go to the Obtainium apps website, find the app and add it to Obtainium than it would to just add it yourself). It is better to add apps that require more advanced configuration which people may find hard to add.

I'm not the maintainer of this repo - but I think this is preferable to adding so many easy-to-add apps.

I disagree. With Obtainium we have NO repo. People dont just search on random code sites.

Yes I also have dozens of apps with complicated setups, but I would add all of them

Yes I think, given the categorization/search features of the site are very simple, filling it with simple configs would make it overwhelming and harder to navigate.

That said, I currently accept PRs without checking for that. Going forward, maybe the pre-commit code can be customized to automatically remove any parts of the additionalSettings property that are defaults (since we don't need those) and reject any configs that are fully default. Something to look into.

Obtainium could nevee become an F-Droid alternative

Side point, it's not really meant to be an F-Droid alternative. The proper alternative will eventually be Accrescent once it gets more apps and UI additions.

Obtainium is not an alternative to F-Droid, but to Upgrade-All, APKUpdater and other such clients. They are of course conceptually a competitor to (the Google Play Store, the Amazon App Store,) F-Droid and Accrescent, but something completely different, because unlike (the Google Play Store, the Amazon App Store,) F-Droid and Accrescent, the apps are not checked. So you have to do it yourself and trust the developer.
