[BUG] Tidal goes black. After reopening it, TidaLuna is gone.

• OS: Windows 11 25H2
• Client Version: Luna client version

Description

After pausing the music, sometimes Tidal goes completely black and when I close it and reopen it, I get a firewall notification, I accept it and then Tidaluna is gone. I have to reinstall it again.
This has been a recurrent issue for me on several machines.

Is this a known issue?

PS: I think it might be related to Tidal automatic updates.

I'm pretty sure it could be related with updates because after reinstalling TidaLuna and reopening Tidal, I've realised that although TidaLuna is running, I can no longer access to its menu, probably due to the recent change in Tidal's interface.

I want to clarify that the issue I'm having (black screen, re-launching Tidal and missing TidaLuna) is different. It's not that I couldn't find it but it was completely missing.

Hmm, could be a weird bug with updates and stale versions. I suggest doing a clean install and going into your Tidal folders and clearing out old app versions.

I did a clean reinstall yesterday. I will let you know the next time it updates.

That's really weird. If you hit Ctrl-Shift-I when it's black does terminal open? What does it have in console?

Yeah I have the same issue. This happened multiple times over the last weeks and while not playing music. It uses like 20% of the cpu during that and if I close and reopen it everything is normal.

Can you check if you have multiple app folders for Tidal? (see manual install instructions in the Readme).

And if you do delete all but the latest, reinstall and lmk if it happens.

I'd also really like to see console if anyone is able to grab it, though it may not be possible if it's hard crashing.
