Help for Exercise 14 #2

@HTenkanen

Description

@HTenkanen

Hi @Intro-Quantitative-Geology/fall-2016 ,

this is a message from Dave that was wished to be shared with you that should help you with Exercise 14 Problem 2:

"For Problem 2 you should find the exhumation rate that provides the best fit to the age data. The ±0.2 mm/a part is just to say that if you change the rate you use by + or - 0.2 mm/a and it gets worse, you can consider the rate you have found to be the “best”. This is to prevent people from trying to find a rate of 1.5334623452345 mm/a that gives the actual minimum misfit, when a rate of 1.5 mm/a would be better than 1.3 mm/a or 1.7 mm/a, for example. You certainly should use a rate that is larger than 0.5 mm/a."

Best,
Henrikki
