Describe the need of your request

the whole gradle thing is too messy, and nothing works as expected
the tasks doesnt work (wrapper) and properties aren't found

the template requires a CLEAR example on how to setup in a existing repo otherwise its just usable by last decade practices

Proposed solution

new template possibly or build.gradle

Alternatives you've considered

i worked on making the template work on my existing repo but its too messy with the thousands of gradle commands (seriously, there is a reason people mentionned maven, if you cannot make it work with maven then make it clear)

Additional context

I used IntelliJ + Gradle modules workflow to make the project. It is not complicated, and I expect it to work seemlessly
