plugin no longer auto updates

As title says, in the past the plugin used to auto update when loading discord but for some reason it no longer does? im not sure if its because of a BD update, i had a look today and did notice that other plugins have an "@updateURL" in the metadata which this plugin does not, but as ive not looked at it for a while i cannot say for sure that it had this metadata in the past.

Is it something that you can fix or is it just a BD thing?

I only recently got back on my pc after a month break, so the version i am/was on is 1.6.5 prior versions would always update automatically when opening discord, but there was also a hotfix from BD that i got when opening discord for the first time after the break, so that may have been the culprit?

Anyway, i'll just download the file and update it that way for now, just thought i would mention it due to the plugin auto updating in the past.

Plugin does auto-update except when it crashes completely, the updateURL is not being used since betterdiscord explicitly said that it should only be used for official plugins.

I could try putting the patching logic in a try catch to prevent it from ever stop working completely but that's a job for future me

Ahh ok makes sense given that i couldnt load the plugin "there was an error loading the plugin" message on the plugins page, i thought it had updated in the past despite potentially getting that error but i may be mistaken, so thats gotta be the reason it couldnt update.

mb yeah it just wasnt auto updating and wouldnt let me update in the client itself, just had to reinstall the plugin as a whole to get it working :)
