Project need and embedded connections to meshradar.io

I have my own generated meshtastic API key, and don't need to read from or verify with MeshRadar (fully offline install and operation). Can the project be changed so that I can install and operate it without the need to contact meshradar.io. for anything? Thank you, this is a very nice and well done app. It makes old hardware useful again!
