Would it be possible to install a function (similar to announcements) that makes it possible to make a post in a topic visible only on a certain date?
I'm thinking of the topic “birthday”. It has happened to me several times that I have “overlooked” a birthday and only congratulated “retrospectively” one or two days later.

With this function, I could “congratulate earlier” and the post would then be “on time” to read.

There is already a solution for your "problem" called SchuWeb Birthday Module

Thank you for the hint. I downloaded and installed the module. In my opinion, this is unreasonable. The documentation consists of five lines.

Forum thread
In the module configuration, open the “Kunena Forum Thread Options” tab. There are three input fields available. The first input field “Category ID” stands for the ID of the forum category to be used for creating birthday wish threads.
The second field is irrelevant for all newer Kunena versions from 2.0 onwards.
The third field “Bot ID” must be filled in with the user ID of an existing user account. Important: This user account must have write permission for the forum category selected above.

In the module configuration, I don't see a tab “Kunena Forum Thread Options” and I don't see the described input fields in any tab either. The only thing that was possible was the position on the start page.

But that's not what I had in mind.
For the display on the home page, I use JEvents, which shows the due birthdays within a month in a calendar.
My wish was a function within a category (e.g. birthdays) and a specific topic (e.g. Peter's birthday) to post a time-shifted post.

This has nothing to do with Kunena itself, but with the Birthday module, so post your issues in the appropiate forum: https://extensions.schultschik.com/support-forum or on their github page. https://github.com/svanschu/KBirthday/issues

I installed the birthday module to test it and realized that it didn't meet my requirements, so I uninstalled it.

I want to make it clear that I don't have any problems, I just expressed a wish for future versions.
