Hi!

Since the new update I see following in my topnav. I don't know where it comes from. It shows up in "Librarian" (2025-05-14) and in "Mort" (2026-07-14).

Steps to reproduce

install new template version

Expected behavior

no icon shown

Actual behavior

icon is shown in topnav

The generic circle appears when no other icons are specified by the theme, other plugin or userstyle.css. You are most likely using a plugin that isn't listed in the styled plugins here. That being said, you can create your own styling in your userstyle.css.

Exemple:

    .page-tools a.show span.icon:before {
        content: '\F341';
    }

If you provide the name of the plugin in question, I can add it to the list of styled plugins in the next update of the theme.

Hi,
I've tried with a new dokuwiki docker image with no plugins installed and it is still showing:

Oh, sorry I misunderstood the issue. This CSS should fix it:

  h3.genericon.menu-toggle {
    display: none !important;
  }

But it needs to be scoped to only apply on the full size size. Because the button is used on the mobile version. So probably more like:

@media (min-width: 768px) {
  h3.genericon.menu-toggle {
    display: none !important;
  }
}

I'll mark this for the next update.

You are most welcome. If you don't mind, could you share the name of the plugin adding the control in the page-tools area? The plugin with the generic circle icon. Just so I can add it to the list of plugins to add extra styling. Essential set a custom icon for it.

I actually tested it using the Docker image without any additional plugins installed, so I'm not sure which plugin adds the control in the page-tools area with the generic circle icon. Sorry I can't identify it.
