About this discussion

the outlined design of lawnicons is very hard to distinguish at a home screen density any smaller than like, 4 columns
in so far as points against this go: a large part of md3 is consistent colors, this would break that
also it would be a lot of work with how many icons already have been added

but it would be nice. maybe

You can currently use Icon Pack Studio to make an icon pack using glyphs from Lawnicons and colors from apps.

I like this idea because it enhances apps recognition through color. But, most likely, this needs to be done through launchers.

In general, there is an alternative option — to prescribe a color for each icon. This would slightly complicate the icon creation process, but would increase the distinguishability of the icons.
