Command widget to spawn processes

I have been using Qtile as my window manager, and one of the things I particularly like about it is the ability to spawn processes straight from the status bar. Are there any plans for a similar command widget in Candybar? It would be great to be able to run arbitrary shell commands or boot up programs from the bar.

It definitely is a plan to support this, it's one of the features I miss from qtile as well.

#94 is merged and adds process spawning functionality, which can possibly be used for this widget.

The process spawning widget could work by requesting a directory listing of $PATH from candybar when executed, we could then do fuzzy matching and autocompletion in JS, then pass the command back to candybar with a JSCore callback and let candybar launch it. We could maybe do some fancy highlighting of command-line arguments and allow customizing $CWD through the widget too.
