1.12.2 compatibility (not really an issue/bug)

it would be good to have a 1.12.2 compatibility with this mod, like most popular mods are avialable in this version and i also play in 1.12.2 for vanilla survival so it would be great to have shimmer with it.

Don't expect this to ever get done. Backporting mods is time consuming, and having 3 people wanting it on 1.12 is not much incentive. Too old, too out dated.
