Key Improvements for User Experience:
In this update, we have included a number of new features and improvements for those using the Lumerin Wallet to buy hashrate contracts and mine Bitcoin remotely, including:
- New UI Configuration (Utilities Menus): We have revamped the user interface, now featuring a Proxy Router for seamless switching between Lightning and typical BTC Pools.
- Connection Enhancement: We have fixed bugs related to connection issues. This latest version establishes a much stronger connection, resulting in a more stable environment.
- Improved Contract Visibility: In the Buyer hub, you can now click on the sparkline next to the purchased contract to view its hashrate performance.
- Enhanced Contract Management: Now, you can perform a full run of contracts and repurchase after a clean "close," ensuring a clean and efficient system without lingering zombie contracts on the seller side.
“Behind the Scenes” Optimization Updates
We have also made significant improvements in the back-end of the wallet, which may not be noticeable by users directly but result in higher performance and efficiency. These include:
- Seller Node Improvements:
- Optimization to ensure contracts are fulfilled correctly during ASIC connect/disconnect events.
- Improved panic and error handling to minimize panics and reboots.
- Buyer Node Enhancements:
- Gas Estimation: Improved gas estimation and usage for transactions.
- 5 Minute Cancel: Contracts will be canceled within the first 5 minutes if no hashrate or shares are detected, preventing potential issues due to network configuration or pool destination errors.
- Under Delivery Detection: Enhanced algorithm for detecting under-delivery, providing a wider margin for error early in the contract and narrowing down to the 5% limit.
- Fail-safe Cutoff: Contracts will be closed if the buyer node does not detect a valid share after 2 hours, protecting the buyer's purchase. Note that this fail-safe limit may be further optimized in future releases.
- API Endpoint Enhancements: Both Buyer and Seller nodes now feature improved API endpoints to observe contract behavior, system configuration, and health.
