When you click on a documentation subsection in a section that is open, the page will reload, the section will close, and then open again.
It think it would be nicer if we load a new page for a subsection, that it starts out as open without animation. Subsequent clicking on the subsection's parent would open and close, with animation.

This is not intentional. It comes from the challenge of building the documentation menus. The key is a parent item knowing that a child item is active. For now we cheat with Javascript, which is why it happens after the page loads. I agree this is not ideal.
