jekyll-seo-tag writes <title>, the description, canonical, og:*, twitter:* and
the JSON-LD block from `page.title` / `page.description` with `site.title` and
`site.description` as the fallbacks. The home page deliberately carries no
`title` in its front matter so this renders "<site.title> | <site.tagline>"
there rather than "Home | …".

Both, in this order: browsers that understand SVG icons take the SVG and
ignore the .ico; the rest fall back to it. Without the .ico entry the file
ships but is never requested — nothing asks for it at this path, since the
automatic /favicon.ico probe hits the domain root, not the baseurl.
