Play/pause with Python script

Hi all,
i am a total newby and have maybe a stupid question.
I want to send play/ pause command to the player via a python script. I found the playout_corntols.sh but have no clue how to sen the comands from python to "shell" gues a subprocess.Popen can do it--- but i am clueless.
How can i do this?
Jukebox is working fine in version
2.2 - 305325d - master
