Description
Add distributed wind examples
Requires the following features/bug-fixes:
- add option to specify different locations and/or resource years for wind and solar resource
- simplify defining site boundaries in SiteInfo.py (PR Feature add: alternative to define site boundaries #426)
- add ability to adjust wind air density based on site elevation (PR Feature add: option to adjust air density for site elevation #427)
- [/] add simple-grid turbine layout option (PR Intermediate: update to wind layout and floris functions (1/2) #429)
- [/] integrate turbine layout with floris.py (PR Feature add: integrated wind layout methods when using Floris (2/2) #431)
- [/] add auto-generation of wind farm layout for floris.py (PR Feature add: integrated wind layout methods when using Floris (2/2) #431)
- integrate turbine-models library (requires previous items)
- make examples highlighting these developments
- expand tests for floris usage (partially included in PR Intermediate: update to wind layout and floris functions (1/2) #429)
- (optional) update floris.py for simulating multiple turbine types
