I open this issue for discussion about the PyPI project where to publish from this fork.

As noted in today's meeting, the upstream project publishes with name libpecos, and there is some unrelated project with name pecos.

I requested name options from an AI, an got these not-so-bad ones:

• pecos-mod
• pecos-alt
• pecos-for-annif
• pecos-revived

Another name variations could come from feature set changes that could be performed within this fork, but that is unknown I think.

Thanks juho. I think the naming issue should not cause too much sleeplessness...
I am with something like pecos-for-annif. Maybe also pecos4annif.

I think it, too. I'm adore in short names like pecos4annif. 😊

Maybe a bit drastic move would be to ditch code for other algorithms but X(R)Transformer and align the repository and PyPI name to this, e.g. use name:

• XTransformer
• XRTransformer
• pecos-XTransformer
• pecos-XRTransformer

(x-transformers is already taken in PyPI).

Dropping everything else but XRTransformer code would ease maintenance in the long run.

Yes, agreed. But we should be carful with deleting, as XR-Transformer relies on X-Linear, too.
