[Feature] Let nerds tick off the day trips they've been on

I slightly worry that this could be opening a can of worms (accounts, ratings, comments, activitypub and all that) but a simple local storage "been there" check box feature seems like it might be nice, with an export csv or somesuch for more nerdiness.

Is that something worth exploring, or not so much?

I guess you could side-step the can of worms by making it truly local storage. This would tie it to the browser installation, so no cross-device sync, which might be considered a serious usability problem. Or might not.

That's exactly what I had in mind. I guess if you could import a csv as well as export, you could sync across devices well enough to get a new phone.

I have considered something similar, not just for places you have been but to 'wishlist' ones. I thought the same, that local storage could keep a list of those which are wishlisted, and then show those items with a different marker, such as with a different colour or visual style.

Worth considering.
