yep fair question.

I thought I had already dealt with this too, but looking at the current release the hyprland greeter config is still the old hyprlang .conf file. For now this should still work on hyprland 0.55. Upstream made Lua the new config format, but they are still loading old .conf configs for a few releases before removing support.

I'll add this properly rather than rushing it in, because the greeter config is a bit different from a normal user hyprland config. It has to start kitty/sysc-greet, start the wallpaper layer, then cleanly exit the greeter compositor after login.

I honestly gotta stop supporting hyprland at this point... 99.9 of all issues stem from random vaxry and hyprland changes. I think soon maybe I drop support and dig back into whether cage can be used now as default.
