OpenStop opens non-prefered browser for login

Problem

Opening the menu / Log in it opens the DuckDuckGo browser, even if I have Fennec set as my default browser in Android. (and I'm pretty sure I've never told OpenStop to use DuckDuckGo). It then proceeds to fail to login.

Anyway, I'd like it would open my default Fennec, which works in other apps (like StreetComplete) for OSM login.

FWIW on my system OpenStop opens the default browser for login (I also changed the default browser to verify).

And yes, manually enabling that openstop.app (why it is disabled by default is beyond me) toggle does make the login work instead of throwing that error page, but it was still using DuckDuckGo browser instead of my default browser Fennec (as shown in that original video).

Which is the problem, as I don't feel comfortable giving my passwords and logins to DuckDuckGo browser and prefer having Fennec handling it. So my main issue remains - How to make OpenStop use my default browser like all the rest of the apps do, instead of it picking seemingly random other installed browser?

@mnalis Could you try setting your default browser to a third option, like Tor browser (i.e not fennec or DuckDuckGo) and check if that will be used by OpenStop.

I've tried @a-andre, but OpenStop still opens DuckDuckGo only. e.g. in this video I try selecting Einkbro as default browser, but selecting Tor browser does not help either. I've also tried force closing the OpenStop (i.e. removing it from recent apps) and starting again, it still does not help.

At the same time, other apps (like e.g. StreetComplete) normally open different browser when I change default browser in Android settings, so it is something OpenStop-specific.

@mnalis I tested a little further and I could reproduce the problem. I also found out that this issue came with v0.8.3. I guess it has something to do with this commit bfa1c34 , when we switched from flutter_web_auth to flutter_web_auth_2.

My Findings:

• Another Flutter based App called Every Door (also uses this package?) and shows the same behaviour. So I think, this needs to be fixed upstream.

• I get the following error, when using the "wrong" browser:

W/CustomTabsClient(19565): Unable to find any Custom Tabs packages, you may need to add a <queries> element to your manifest. See the docs for CustomTabsClient#getPackageName.
