Stellar provides support for TTLs across many components of Soroban contracts, we want to provide users a programatic way to extend the TTL of these components, like contracts, accounts, variables, etc.
We can do this by adding support to Extend Footprint TTL operation in our Operations file, and then adapt our APIs accordingly.
