Thank you for reporting this issue! We've confirmed the problem and submitted a fix.

The issue you described where adding a duplicate MCP server only shows an error without suggesting the --force option has been addressed. Now when you try to add an MCP server that already exists, you'll get a helpful message suggesting you can use --force to overwrite it, or you can manually remove the existing server first.

The fix is now under review: CortexLM/cortex-cli#32

Once the fix is merged, it will be available in the next release. Thanks for helping us improve Cortex!
